Their move to new spaces reflects the company’s ongoing growth and rapid scaling.
[AMSTERDAM, 3rd of August] Mews, the industry-leading hospitality cloud, has opened two new offices in Amsterdam and Barcelona, building on the momentum of its strategic growth that saw a 116% revenue increase and a Series C investment of $185 million in 2022.
Founded in 2012 in Prague, Mews has since expanded throughout Europe, establishing offices in the Netherlands – where the company currently has 550 customers – and Spain, home to over 200 Mews customers. The opening of the new offices comes close on the heels of the 60% headcount growth in Spain and 36% in the Netherlands.
“We’re so excited to continue our scale-up journey in these new offices,” said Matt Welle, Mews CEO. “Even though we’re a remote-friendly company, we put a lot of effort into fostering a closely-knit community. Expanding spaces allows us to fully support our unique work culture that is driven by collaborative innovation.”
The new, modern office in Amsterdam shares the neighborhood with the likes of Spotify, Booking and Stripe. It’s located in the former ‘Muntstaete’ financial center, now transformed into a 6,000 m² tech hub buzzing with fast-growing startups.
Mews’ Barcelona office can be found in the central Gran Via de las Cortes Catalanes, a few minutes from Passeig de Gracia. Its large open spaces are designed to facilitate connections, which is paramount for making new hires immediately feel a part of the team.
"Our main goal was to be centrally located and close to our customers in both locations," continued Matt Welle. "New offices allow us to scale flexibly, which was a key requirement, as traditional static office contracts simply don't work for a business like ours anymore."
